After graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (majored in Thai studies) in 1994, Hitomi
Homma proceeded to University of Michigan to receive MA in South East Asian Studies in 1997.
From 1998, worked in international organizations such as World Bank and International Committee
of the Red Cross (ICRC) as a communications officer for more than 11 years. At a Japanese
financial firm, took lead in a number of projects in South East Asia as a carbon finance specialist for
7 years.

Being a mother of two children, she herself had a difficult time to find a right preschool fit to her
kids. Having them enrolled in public and private day-care center, kindergarten, private elementary
school and junior high, she decided to establish her own preschool to serve the needs of every child
with working parents.
